予想外の展開

「そのうち孫さんがなんかやってくれると信じてる」

と、いつだったかvodafoneユーザーだったトッキーが、つぶやいていたような記憶がありますが、MNP（番号ポータビリティ制度）スタートを前後してソフトバンクが発表したニュースが、なかなか巷間の話題をさらっております。

「予想外割」と銘打った新料金体系。見出しは衝撃的ですが、本当にそこまで安くなるかは、利用スタイルによって微妙なところで、明日発表されるというもう一つのリリースも含めてもう少し注意してみないといけないところです。ただ、au、ドコモユーザー向けの「オレンジプラン」「ブループラン」なるものもあるので、多少は安くなるのは確実というところでしょうか。

さて、もともと僕はMNPそのものに対して非常に懐疑的なスタンスでしたので、あまり大きなイベントととらえていなかったのですが、正直言って、意外なことに、今回のソフトバンクの発表を受けて、「ソフトバンクに乗り換えようかなー」と本気で考え始めてしまっております。 


僕は今回のMNPで躍進を遂げると予想されていたauユーザーなのですが、以前にも書いたことがある通り、最近のauの傾向に必ずしも満足していないんですね。

というのも、結局値段については、安くなるならなったで価格競争の末、全社落ち着いてくると思うので、肝心のポイントはやっぱり端末の魅力だと思うので す。そういう意味でauが音楽機能の重視に非常に傾倒している点が、僕に取っては不満。以前ほどデザイン的に優れたものも見当たらないのです。個人的に。

そんな中でのソフトバンクの発表。「予想外割」以上に、僕の心に響いたのは、実は今回の発表の一つ前、９月末の新機種発表の際の孫さんのこの言葉でした。 

「電話する時は音楽を聴かないし、音楽を聴くときは電話をしない。両方を搭載し、わざわざ分厚くするのは意味がないのでは。胸ポケットに通勤時はiPod、会社ではSLIMIAという使い方がいいのではないか」

そうなんです！！まさにそう！！

僕が求めている携帯はシンプルでとにかく薄くてかっこいい奴。音楽機能なんていらない。音楽機能なんかつけたらiPod使えないじゃない。

「ケータイ」というきわめて個人的なガジェットを選択する際には、こういうコンセプトというか価値観みたいなものがかなり重要だと思うんです。

で、実際、今日所用で外出した際にガラガラのソフトバンクショップを除いてみたんですが、SLIMIA（705SH）もさることながら、705Pがかなり薄くてかっこいい。限定カラーの緑の奴とかちょーかわいいです。

これから数週間くらいの様子を見て、問題ないと判断できたら、ソフトバンクに乗り換える可能性がかなり強まってきました。そういえば、トッキーだけでなく、チョレオもソフトバンクユーザーだし。

でも、MNP使うと手数料が結構かかるらしいので、普通に番号も変えちゃう気がしますがww
